to be flung
Two warm palms
flat against glass:
naked life-lines, skin display,
nets without contact
holding half-drawn memories in charcoal,
cake and starfish,
stone and current,
half-lives dormant
in a pulse, quiet and heavy,
to be flung, carried, absorbed again
behind the barrier,
salt nucleus with sand,
to settle back in place,
to tremble in ten places.
